Black Stars Coach C.K Akonnor has called on Ghanaians to support Razak Abalora in spite of his howler against Morocco in yesterday’s international friendly.
The Black Stars of Ghana suffered 1-0 defeat to Morocco in an unpleasant manner following a mistake committed by Razak Abalora.
The Kotoko goalkeeper has since been vilified for such elementary mistake. The goalkeeper has been in sublime form in the League, but many Ghanaians have expressed that he should be dropped from the National team.
Reacting to the vilification of the former Azam FC and West Africa Football Academy goalkeeper, the Black Stars gaffer called on Ghanaians to coerce the lad rather nailing him.
“He made a mistake, he knows that himself, but we are not in a position to kill him. We have to move on, we have to encourage him.he is a good goalkeeper and there is no doubt about that, but we will not kill him. We have to encourage him to come good”
The Black Stars will host Ivory Coast on Friday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to redeem themselves from the defeat they suffered against Morocco.
