Fisheries Ministry Trains Staff on Artificial Intelligence to Boost Efficiency

The Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture has taken steps to equip its staff with modern digital skills to enhance productivity and service delivery.

Through its Human Resources (HR) Unit, the Ministry organised an Artificial Intelligence (AI) training session for staff on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

The training was aimed at equipping staff with practical knowledge of AI tools to enhance their work, improve efficiency and support more effective delivery of their responsibilities.

According to the Ministry, the session also provided an opportunity for staff to gain a better understanding of how AI can be applied to their various roles and used as a tool to complement their work.

The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry to build the capacity of its workforce and leverage emerging digital tools to improve productivity and ensure effective delivery of its mandate.
