NaCCA Warns Against Circulation of Unapproved Assessment Materials in Schools

The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) has expressed grave concern over the circulation of unapproved assessment materials in pre-tertiary schools and has directed all entities involved to cease the practice with immediate effect.

In a public notice issued on August 7, 2026, and signed by the Director-General, Prof. Samuel Ofori Bekoe, NaCCA said it had noted that some consortiums, institutions, and individuals are developing and supplying assessment items to pre-tertiary schools without the approval of the Council.

The Council directed all such entities to register with NaCCA for certification, and to submit all assessment items and tasks to NaCCA for vetting and approval before they are administered in schools.

NaCCA also ordered an immediate halt to the distribution of unapproved assessment materials.

The Council warned that any consortium, institution, school, or individual that contravenes the directive shall be sanctioned in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
