We Are Ready For Africa, AshGold CEO Alerts

The Chief Executive Officer of Obuasi AshantiGold, Emmanuel Frimpong, claims that the Miners are revved up to play in the CAF Confederation Cup competition.

The Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council on Tuesday cancelled the 2019/20 season following the outbreak of the novel COVID-19 pandemic.

The decision taken after a marathon meeting suggested that there will be no promotions and demotions, and confirmed both Kotoko and AshGold to represent Ghana in the next season’s CAF inter-club competitions.

The Miners who won Tier Two Cup has given them the nod to get the automatic qualification into CAF Confederation Cup competition.

Emmanuel Frimpong, the Red and Yellow club Chief Executive Officer believes his outfit is ready to compete fervently in Africa.

According to the young flamboyant Obuasi based club leader, they have what it takes to compete in Africa to build on last season’s performance.

In an interview on Opemsuo 104.7 FM evening Sports, Pramaso, he recounted that, “AshantiGold is ever ready to play in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup competition to correct the previous mistakes”

“Management and my players are all bound and determined to make our supporters and Ghanaians proud,” he confidently added.

The football administrator in his last remarks assured football enthusiasts of glittering display from the Miners.
“I want to assure football lovers that AshGold will do better this time around, and we will pass where we ended last season.”

Obuasi AshGold failed to qualify into the group stage of the CAF Confederation last season following the defeat to R. S. Berkane on 4-2 aggregate.
