Ghana TVET Service Partners with Microsoft, Others to Train 100,000 Facilitators

The Ghana TVET Service has signed a landmark partnership with UNESCO, KPMG and Microsoft to train 100,000 TVET facilitators in AI and digital competencies.

The Service says that as the world advances through digital innovation, the true measure of progress will be how well skills systems keep pace.

“At the heart of this effort is a simple reality that the strength of any training system depends on its facilitators. Yet many are not fully equipped for today’s technology-driven classrooms and workplaces. As AI continues to shape both industry and learning, the need for confident, skilled and responsible trainers is critical,” the statement said.

According to the Ghana TVET Service, the partnership will equip facilitators not only with digital and AI skills, but also the judgement to use them responsibly, from managing learner data to navigating risks such as misinformation and bias.

With the Ghana TVET Service leading implementation, UNESCO guiding policy standards, KPMG strengthening systems and Microsoft providing digital tools, the collaboration is expected to set the pace for future-ready TVET at national scale.
