GES Releases Funds For Perishables, Recurring Items For SHS 1 Students

The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of funds for perishables and recurring items for Senior High School (SHS) students.

The released amount covers perishables for schools from March 1 to September 4, 2026, and part payment of recurring items for the 1st semester of the 2025/2026 academic year for SHS 1 students.

It said the funds have been transferred to the various accounts of the Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools.

In a letter dated September 23, 2026, and signed by the Director-General, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, the GES informed all Regional Directors to notify Heads of Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools.

Meanwhile, heads of Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools have been reminded to send official receipts of the funds received to the Director-General through their Regional Accountants.
