See Fee, Schedule as Mandatory Medical Screening for Hajj 2027 Begins on October 3
The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana says the mandatory medical screening exercise for all prospective pilgrims for Hajj 2027 will be conducted at designated centres across the country.
The exercise will commence on Saturday, October 3, 2026, according to a statement issued on September 22, 2026, by the Ghana Hajj Board.
In the statement, it was stated that medical screening is a mandatory requirement and serves as a prerequisite for the processing and issuance of the Hajj visa.
All prospective pilgrims are therefore required to undergo the screening and obtain the necessary medical clearance before proceeding with their preparations towards Hajj 2027.
The Board has fixed the cost of the screening at GH¢650.00 per pilgrim.
For the screening, prospective pilgrims are required to present a valid travel passport and their passport number, and have been strongly advised to ensure that their passport details are accurate and readily available to facilitate a smooth and efficient process.
To ensure an orderly exercise and to avoid overcrowding at the various centres, the Board said prospective pilgrims travelling through Hajj travel agents should contact their respective agents to book an appointment on their behalf, while direct-payment and protocol pilgrims should contact the Ghana Hajj Board Secretariat at the Hajj Village, Accra International Airport in Accra to obtain their designated appointment date. All pilgrims have been encouraged to take the exercise seriously, to book their appointments early, attend their assigned centres on the scheduled dates and adhere strictly to their appointment dates and screening schedules.
According to the medical screening schedule issued by the Head of the Medical Department of the Hajj Board Secretariat, screening will begin in Tamale at the Ummah Medical, Jisonayili from October 3 to November 15 2026, in Kumasi at the Kumasi Central Mosque from October 10 to November 15, 2026, and in Accra at the Hajj Village from October 15 to November 15, 2026.
The exercise will continue in Bawku at the Quality Medical Centre from October 20 to 22, 2026 and at the Bawku Presby Hospital on October 23, 2026, in Bolga at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital from October 24 to 25, 2026, in Nalerigu at the Baptist Medical Centre from October 27 to 28, 2026, in Yendi at the Yendi Municipal Hospital from October 30 to 31, 2026, in Salaga at the Salaga Government Hospital from November 2 to 3, 2026, in Wa at the Wa Municipal Library from November 6 to 12, 2026, and in Techiman at the NY Kramo Community Centre from November 15 to 16, 2026.
