Partey Sets Priorities With Arsenal Contract Set to Expire

Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey, has set priorities, putting his family atop as his contract with the English Premier League (EPL) club approaches an end.
The father of one intends to now pursue football differently, balancing his career and his family.
“At this stage of my career, my next move must balance ambition, family, and security. I’m an Arsenal fan too, but it’s up to the club, my agent, and me to decide. For now, I just want to enjoy my football,” he told 3Sports.
After an injury-free season unlike the previous, he said “This year I felt great.”
“People are talking about my availability because I was fit all season. Every training session, every match, I gave my best. Injuries are part of the game, but this year I felt great. The most important thing is being happy where you play.”
Arsenal is negotiating with the Ghana international for a potential contract extension as his contract will expire at the end of the month.
Having established himself as a lynchpin, the EPL side is bent on keeping the 31-year-old.
The Ghanaian was reported to be on the radar of Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, and clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Partey in the just-ended season made 52 appearances in all competitions for Mikel Arteta’s side.
The player has carved a niche for himself in the EPL, dominating opponents with his tough tackling, authority on the ball and passing range.
