Phase 2 of Suame Interchange to Be Opened To Traffic By October – Minister

Phase 2 of the Suame Interchange Project is currently 87 per cent complete and is expected to be opened to traffic by the end of October this year.
This was announced by the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Agbodza, this afternoon during an inspection of the project as part of his working tour of the Ashanti Region.
Phase 2 includes the construction of three overpasses at Anomangye Junction, which has been completed, Magazine New Road Junction, also completed, and Abusuakruwa Junction, which is 98.25 per cent complete.
Phase 2 also involves the widening of the Offinso Road (N10) into a 2×3-lane dual carriageway, which is currently 77 per cent complete.
In addition, 13.2 kilometres out of the planned 15 kilometres of local roads have been completed, alongside improvements to selected intersections.
According to the Minister, the completion and opening of Phase 2 are expected to improve traffic flow in the area and pave the way for intensive work on Phase 1.
The scope of Phase 1 includes the construction of a three-tier interchange at Suame, two overpasses at Abrepo and Krofrom junctions, and the widening of the Eastern and Western Bypass roads.
