SEC Ghana Publishes Full List Of 20 Approved Virtual Asset Sandbox Participants

The Securities and Exchange Commission, Ghana (SEC), has published the full list of entities admitted into its Virtual Asset Regulatory Sandbox.

The Commission said the participation of the Virtual Asset Service Providers will enable it to collect relevant regulatory data to support the validation and finalisation of its guidelines and regulations on activity-specific licensing and registration, pursuant to its mandate under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2025 (Act 1154).

The SEC is mandated under the Securities Industry Act, 2016 (Act 929), as amended, to regulate and promote the growth and development of an efficient, fair and transparent securities market, while protecting investors and safeguarding market integrity.

The 20 sandbox participants and their approved pilot activities are as follows:
1 Africoin Ghana Limited – Asset Tokenisation (GOLD)
2 Vaulta Digital Assets Ltd – Asset Tokenisation (SECURITIES)
3 GFX Brokers Limited – Asset Tokenisation (T-BILL)
4 One Africa Securities Ltd – Asset Tokenisation (BONDS)
5 Wewire Ghana Limited – Asset Tokenisation (TRADE FINANCE)
6 Mansu Technologies Ltd – Virtual Asset Brokerage
7 Sage Advance Global Services Ltd – Virtual Asset Brokerage
8 Mojo Pay Ghana Limited – Virtual Asset Brokerage
9 Yellow Card Ghana Limited – Virtual Asset Exchange
10 Hyro Exchange Ltd. – Virtual Asset Exchange
11 Whitebit Ghana Ltd – Virtual Asset Exchange
12 Koinkoin Ghana Ltd – Virtual Asset Exchange
13 Ghana Commodities Exchange – Virtual Asset Exchange (COMMODITIES)
