A/R: ECG Announces Power Cut to Selected Areas During Planned Maintenance on Tuesday, Wednesday  

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance works to improve service delivery in the Ashanti Region, which will result in temporary power outages in several communities.

According to three separate notices issued on Saturday, August 22, 2026, the exercise will take place on Tuesday, August 25 and Wednesday, August 26, 2026, between 9:00am and 5:00pm each day.

On Tuesday, two separate maintenance works will affect different areas.

One batch of affected areas includes Domeabra, Appiadu Kokoben, Donyina and surrounding areas.

The second batch includes Gausu, Bidiem, Bogobri, Nana Ponkoh, Binsere, New Baakoyeden, Kyekyewere, Court area, Amamom, Adaase, Akatakyieso, Nyameso, Nhyiaeso, Tweapiase, Hia, Numerso, Fehiakobo, Sukulmu, Domiabra and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, the outage will affect Abankeseso, Dwakeseimu, St. Peter’s School, Low cost, Dodge city, Mfuom, Power line, Bebianiha, Asikuma, Achiase, Nsuaem 1 & 2, Oponso, Denyase, Mbrayiem, Esaase, Asikuma and surrounding areas.

ECG has apologized for the inconvenience that will arise out of the exercise and urged affected customers to take note and plan accordingly.
