Regional Minister, Roads Minister Inspect Outer Kumasi Ring Road Project

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, and the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Agbodza, on Friday, August 21, conducted a joint inspection of ongoing works on the Outer Kumasi Ring Road during a working visit to the Ashanti Region.
The ministers reviewed progress on the major infrastructure project, which is designed to serve as an orbital route around Kumasi.
The road corridor passes through Atia, Juaben, Effiduase, Asonomaso, Tanodumase, Kwabre, Bouho and several other municipalities and districts in the region.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Amoakohene noted that the Outer Kumasi Ring Road is distinct from the separate Kumasi Expressway project.
He said its primary objectives are to improve regional connectivity, ease traffic congestion within the city, and unlock new economic and development opportunities for communities along the route.
