GTA CEO Appointed Vice Chairman Of African Travel Commission

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Maame Efua Houadjeto, has been appointed Vice Chairman of the African Travel Commission.

Announcing the appointment in a Facebook post, Mrs Houadjeto said she was delighted and deeply honoured to take on the continental role.

“I’m delighted to announce that I have been appointed Vice Chairman of the African Travel Commission. I am deeply honoured to take on this role”

She intends to leverage it to contribute to strengthening Ghana’s position within Africa’s tourism landscape.

In addition, she said the position will be used to foster greater collaboration, connectivity, and opportunities across the continent’s travel and tourism sector

The appointment positions her to play a key role in shaping Africa’s tourism agenda and advancing intra-African tourism cooperation.
