KNUST Introduces Strict Sanctions over Reckless Driving, Dangerous Vehicle Processions

Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, has announced strict disciplinary measures to address the growing incidence of reckless and dangerous driving on campus.
In a press release, the University said it had observed with serious concern the rise in excessive speeding and hazardous vehicle processions, particularly those associated with student election campaigns and celebrations following the declaration of election results.
To ensure strict compliance, the University Security Services have been directed to stop and impound any vehicle involved in reckless driving, while any group of students participating in these unlawful and unsafe activities will be apprehended and handed over to the Police.
The identities of those involved will also be established for internal disciplinary action.
“These measures are intended to safeguard the lives and property of students, staff, and all members of the University community,” Management said.
The University is therefore urging all students to celebrate responsibly and conduct themselves in a manner that upholds the values and reputation of KNUST.
