Passport Application Website Temporarily Down – Foreign Affairs Ministry

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that its passport application website is temporarily down due to technical issues.

In a notice issued on August 25, 2026, the Ministry said its website for passport applications, “passport.mfa.gov.gh”, is currently experiencing technical issues and is therefore temporarily down.

The Ministry said the notice is particularly for valued customers who may be experiencing challenges accessing the website for passport applications.

“Our technical team is feverishly working with the National Signals Bureau to resolve the problem as quickly as possible,” the statement said.

The Ministry apologised for the inconvenience the outage has caused and said it will provide an update once the problem is resolved.
