Vice President Arrives In Kigali Ahead Of Africa Mindset Reset Forum
Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the inaugural Africa Mindset Reset Forum.
The Vice President, who is representing President John Dramani Mahama, arrived on Monday ahead of the two-day forum scheduled for August 25-26, 2026, at the Kigali Convention Centre.
The Africa Mindset Reset Forum is convened by the African School of Governance (ASG), co-founded by H.E. Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, and H.E. Hailemariam Desalegn, former Prime Minister of Ethiopia.
The forum is being held under the theme “From Pan-Africanism to Meta-Africanism” and is expected to bring together about 1,000 leaders from across Africa and beyond, with 80 per cent of participants being young people and emerging leaders.
Organisers say the forum is Africa’s flagship gathering on ideas, leadership, and institutions, designed not as another conference on Africa’s challenges, but as a platform to spotlight what is already working and move from dialogue to delivery.
Vice President Opoku-Agyemang is expected to join President Paul Kagame and former Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn for a high-level discussion on translating the ideals of African unity into concrete action.
