I Hope Discussions Over Afari Hospital Yield Positive Results – Otumfuo

The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has expressed hope that discussions surrounding the stalled Afari Hospital would be successfully concluded.

His Majesty said this would ensure its completion and operationalisation is expedited.

This, Otumfuo indicated, would help put military appointees to the facility to work.

The Asantehene said this during a courtesy visit by officials of the Central Command on July 24, 2026, during which Brigadier General Richard Naam, Commander of the Afari Military Hospital and Naval Captain Rubby Elikem were introduced to him.

The delegation was led by Osabarima Appau Bonsu Bonsu II, Amantimhene and included Brigadier General Joshua Amanor, the incoming General Officer Commanding and the outgoing GOC, Brigadier General Albert Sison-Ogaja.
