GN Bank Begins Preparations to Resume Operations After License Restoration

Founder of GN Bank, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, says preparations to restart operations of the bank are progressing, with work ongoing on furniture, systems and staffing across the institution.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Dr Nduom said the bank is “fixing, repairing, upgrading and renewing” as it gets set to return to the market.
“Our preparations to re-start operations continue. Furniture, systems, people, etc. We are fixing, repairing, upgrading and renewing. And we MUST,” he wrote.
GN Bank had its license revoked by the Bank of Ghana in 2019 during the financial sector clean-up. The central bank has since re-issued a license to the bank to operate.
Dr Nduom noted that there is strong public demand for the bank’s return.
“Many are calling us to hurry and come back. We are moving as fast as we can, guided by the law. And we will work within the regulations of the Bank of Ghana,” he added.
