Ghana School Feeding Programme Meets Partners to Strengthen Delivery and Expand Support

The Ghana School Feeding Programme has engaged some of its development and implementing partners in a meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration, reviewing ongoing initiatives, and exploring new opportunities to improve the delivery of the programme.

The meeting was held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the National Secretariat of the GSFP in Accra.

It provided a platform for partners to share ideas, discuss areas of mutual interest, and identify innovative approaches to enhance school feeding across the country.

Addressing participants, the National Coordinator of the GSFP, Hajia Fati Forgor, expressed appreciation to all partners for their support.

She assured them that her office remains open and ready to provide the information and data needed to guide decision-making on the type of support and potential areas of intervention.

Hajia Fati Forgor noted that the GSFP has grown over the years to become one of the country’s major social interventions. She said achieving its core objectives of increasing enrolment, retention and attendance, reducing hunger, and boosting domestic food production requires a multidimensional approach.

The National Coordinator also underscored the importance of continued support and collaboration from partners for the sustainability and smooth implementation of the programme.

Partners present at the meeting, including the Rockefeller Foundation, the World Food Programme, the Gold Coast Nutrition Fund and Care International, reaffirmed their commitment to working together to promote sustainable interventions that will improve the educational outcomes of beneficiary pupils under the programme.
