Education Ministry Debunks AI-Generated Fake Video of Haruna Iddrisu

The Office of the Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, has dismissed a video currently circulating on social media as AI-generated and deliberately manipulated.

In a disclaimer signed by Press Secretary Hashmin Mohammed, the Office said the fake video falsely portrays the Honourable Minister’s recent appearance on the Government Accountability Series promoting an investment scheme.

According to the statement, the video has been altered to mislead the public by attributing false statements and content to the Minister.

“The Office wishes to state unequivocally that the video is false, fabricated, and does not represent the views, statements, actions, or official communications of the Honourable Minister,” the disclaimer said.

The Ministry has therefore urged the public to disregard the video in its entirety and to refrain from sharing or amplifying the misleading content.

It further advised Ghanaians to rely only on official communications issued by the Ministry of Education, credible media news sources, and the Office of the Honourable Minister for authentic and verified information.
