You’ve Brought Honour To Our Music Community- MUSIGA To Afua Asantewaa

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has hailed Afua Asantewaa Aduonum for her attempted record-breaking challenge for the longest singing marathon.

Her feat which has won her the admiration of Ghanaians across the country and beyond, has also given her international recognition though her attempt is yet to be reviewed by the Guinness World Record.

The bold step which began on December 24 ended on December 28 after singing Ghanaian songs for an impressive and a straight 126 hours 53 minutes in the quest to break India’s Sunil Waghmare’s record of 105 hours in 2012.

She has received commendation and applause from celebrities, and politicians and her latest salute came from the MUSIGA who asserts that her adventure has brought honour to the country’s music community.

“Afua Asantewaa’s dedication, passion, and unparalleled talent have not only set a new standard but have also brought honour to the music community in Ghana. For us at MUSIGA, her success resonates deeply within the cultural and musical fabric of our nation.”

It further reckoned Afua through the display of endurance and musical prowess, has etched her name in history.
