Ministry of Labour, Pidasmo Sign MoU to Advance Ghana’s National Digital Labour Ecosystem

The Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pidasmo Technologies Group Limited to collaborate on the development of a National Digital Labour Ecosystem aimed at transforming labour administration and employment services in Ghana.
The agreement was signed on July 10, 2026, and seeks to design, develop, deploy and operationalise an integrated digital platform comprising seven interconnected portals for employers, workers, job seekers, recruitment agencies, training institutions, trade unions and artisans.
The ecosystem will be integrated with the Ministry’s Ghana Labour Market Information System (GLMIS) to improve access to labour market information, streamline recruitment agency licensing, enhance public employment services, facilitate online appointments, and provide searchable employment data and reports.
Under the MoU, the Ministry will provide strategic leadership, coordinate stakeholder engagement and oversee implementation through a dedicated Project Oversight Committee, while Pidasmo Technologies will undertake preliminary technical studies, cost assessments and implementation planning.
The agreement also affirms that all citizen data generated through the platform will remain the property of the Government of Ghana, with strict compliance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), ensuring the security, privacy and integrity of users’ information.
The National Digital Labour Ecosystem is expected to modernise Ghana’s labour administration by providing a single digital gateway for employment-related services, supporting evidence-based policymaking, improving access to jobs and labour market information, and strengthening the delivery of public employment services across the country.
