I Am Not A Newbie In Football, New Asante Kotoko CEO Dims ‘Inexperienced’ Tag

Newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko SC, Nana Yaw Amponsah, has waved aside those tagging him as unbeknownst in football and that lack the prerequisites to steer the affairs of the Ghanaian giants.

According to Nana Yaw Amponsah, he has fifteen(15) years of experience in football and gained enough to lead Asante Kotoko to rediscover its reputation on the Africa continent.

The affable young football administrator was on last Friday officially unveiled as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Porcupine Warriors to run the day-to-day administration of the Club.

He pulled through a lot of challenges to become the new Head of Management after the exit of George Amoako.
His critics, however, have said that he is too young to hold such a position.

Responding to such unpalatable comments on Opemsuo 104.7 FM, he said, “it is untrue that I am a newbie in football. I’ve done football for fifteen years, I hold Master’s Degree in Sports Law and Practice from the Leicester DE Monort University, UK.”

“I have been a Club President and worked with world renowned football companies. Though I am young in terms of age, but not issues of football,” he concluded.

The Head of Kotoko’s Management was a FIFA Licensed player agent/intermediary and transferred over 50 players from Ghana from 2008 to 2018.
