Ghana Party in the Park Organisers Deny Reports of Stabbing and Deaths

Organisers of Ghana Party in the Park have denied reports of stabbing and fatalities after the annual UK festival was abruptly closed on safety grounds.
In a public notice issued following the incident, the organisers quashed speculation on social media.
“We would like to clarify that there were no incidents of stabbing and deaths as being speculated,” the statement said.
The event team said the decision to shut down the festival was made “solely on the grounds of health and safety” after the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade responded to a major incident on site.
“Following discussions with the emergency services and our health and safety team, it was agreed that closing the festival was the safest option in order to protect all attendees,” the statement read.
The organisers said the safety and wellbeing of attendees, staff, artists, contractors, and partners remains their “utmost priority.”
They thanked patrons for their cooperation during what they described as a “difficult situation,” and wished a “speedy recovery” to those who sustained injuries.
