National Ambulance Service Trains Staff On New Digital Fleet Management App
The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has trained its staff from the Operations Department and Fleet Management Units across the country on a newly introduced digital fleet management application, NAS FleetPro.
The training, organised through the Training and Development Department, is aimed at modernising the Service’s transport and logistics operations.
According to NAS, the innovative software will digitise, automate and streamline day-to-day fleet management activities, marking a significant shift from fragmented paperwork and manual oversight to a centralised digital system that supports real-time monitoring and decision-making.
The platform is expected to reduce operational costs, improve safety compliance, enhance accountability and maximise vehicle uptime, ultimately strengthening the Service’s ability to deliver timely emergency medical response nationwide.
Speaking on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service, Dr. (Med) George Kojo Owusu, the Deputy Director for Training, Mrs Fati Salifu, encouraged participants to fully embrace the new technology.
She noted that the software would equip staff with practical digital skills that will make daily operations faster, easier and more efficient.
The lead facilitator and Deputy Director of Information Technology, Mr Edmund Boateng, guided participants through the practical use of the application.
He explained that NAS FleetPro will improve smart reporting, provide automated alerts and strengthen operational oversight, contributing to greater efficiency in fleet management.
The training forms part of NAS’s ongoing efforts to leverage technology and innovation to enhance operational excellence and support the delivery of quality pre-hospital emergency healthcare services across Ghana.
