2025 Rent Allowance Fully Paid – GNFS Debunks Non-Payment Claims

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has debunked rumours circulating on social media that the 2025 rent allowance for its personnel has not been paid.
In a statement issued for immediate release, the Service described the information as false and unfounded.
“The attention of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has been drawn to a false rumour circulating on social media regarding the non-payment of the 2025 rent allowance,” the statement said.
“Management wishes to state categorically that the information is false and unfounded, as the last tranche of the full payment of the 2025 rent allowance was effected in April 2026,” it added.
With regard to the 2026 rent allowance, the GNFS said a committee is in place to ensure mechanisation takes effect soon.
Management also appreciated the patience of its personnel and reassured them of its commitment to addressing all welfare issues, including compensation, adding that it will continue to operate an open-door policy of being transparent with information.
“We urge the general public to disregard the false report and refrain from further circulating the misinformation,” the statement concluded.
