Ghana Wants To Export More Value-Added Goods To China- Ato Forson

Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has called for an improvement in the structure of trade between Ghana and China.
In a Facebook post, he acknowledged that China is Ghana’s largest trading partner.
He noted that Ghana’s priority is to process more of what it produces and export more value-added goods, including processed cocoa, to China.
The West African country is thereby seeking investment to realise this.
“We are also seeking investments that build factories, transfer technology, support Ghanaian businesses, train our people and create sustainable jobs,” he wrote.
This concern comes as Ghana opened the Fifth Session of the Ghana–China Joint Commission.
