Education Directorate Honours Domeabrahene

The Chief of Domeabra in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Otumfuo Brempon, Nana Kusi Oboadum, has been honored by the Ashanti Regional Education Directorate with a citation in recognition of his efforts to support and improve education in his community.

The citation was presented after the commissioning of an ultramodern 8 unit classroom block that the Chief solely financed to improve the quality of education in his community.

At the presentation, the Headmistress of the Domeabra Methodist JHS, Philomena Atta Mensah, expressed her excitement and gratitude to the Chief,

“We are grateful to the Chief  for the monumental edifice that would enhance education in the community,” she added.

The Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Kwabena Owusu, also enumerated a number of projects initiated by the Chief, including a KG Block, roofing of classroom blocks ripped off by rainstorm, and building the 8 unit story building for the school.

The Ashanti Regional Education Director, Dr. William Abankrah Appiah, presented the citation to the Chief and thanked him for demonstrating zeal and commitment to improving the standard of education in his community.

“This new edifice would go a long way in taking a generation from the streets and giving them a brighter future,” he said.

The citation recognizes the Chief’s relentless efforts to support and improve the quality of education in his community.
