Baba Rahman Scores In PAOK Win After Unconsciousness Scare

Ghana International Baba Rahman contributed to PAOK’s 2-0 away win over Lamia on Sunday at the Dimotiko Athlitiko Kentro Lamias stadium.

The goal came at injury time when the visitors were leading by a goal to nil in the Greek Super League match week 26.

Brazilian winger Taison Barcellos Freda gave the Double-Headed Eagle of the North the lead after recess before Baba Rahman extended the lead in added time to propel his side to the top of the league.

PAOK are now leading the league with 60 points after 26 games. They lead the Double-Headed Eagle of the South by one point.

Baba’s marked return to the pitch yesterday followed his unconsciousness scare during the Greek Cup semi-final against Panathinaikos.

The Black Stars player collapsed after colliding with opponent Georgios Vagiannidis during an aerial duel that went wrong. He was revived by the medical team and was transported to a hospital for further treatment.

In a post on X, the defender said he did not sustain a serious injury and was recuperating quite well.

“Thankfully I’m recovering well and scans have shown no major damage.”
