Australia Will Be Delighted to Host Asantehene- Envoy
The Australian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Berenice Owen-Jones, has extended an invitation to the Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for a state visit to her home country.
According to her, the country and continent will be delighted to welcome the globally acclaimed traditional leader.
The High Commissioner paid a courtesy visit to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on May 9, 2025.
In her submission, she said a visit by the Asantehene will strengthen the ties between Ghana and Australia.
“In order to reinforce the friendly ties between the two people, we will be delighted to welcome Your Majesty to Australia. When you are ready to go, please do let me know.”
She hailed the leadership of His Majesty, which has permeated the global fabric.
H.E. Owen-Jones opined that Otumfuo’s role in preserving tradition while fostering development and peace is inspiring.
