Department of Urban Roads Sets Up Grievance Committee Ahead of Inner Ring Road Upgrade in Kumasi

The Department of Urban Roads, Ashanti Regional Office, has announced that work on the improvement of the Inner Ring Road in Kumasi will soon begin, with a Grievance Redress Committee already established to address concerns from affected persons.

In a public notice issued by the Department under the Ministry of Roads and Highways, DUR said the project will involve the dualization of the Inner Ring Road from Santasi Roundabout to Ahodwo Roundabout.

The scope also includes the improvement of both roundabouts under the JICA Cooperation Framework.

According to the Department, the Grievance Redress Committee was set up on 30th June 2026 to receive and address any concerns or grievances that may arise during the implementation of the project.

DUR is urging project-affected persons to channel their complaints through designated representatives.

The Regional Director of DUR, Surv. Na-Em Iddrisu assured stakeholders that all grievances will be handled promptly and transparently as part of the project implementation process.
