Otumfuo Lauds The Impact Of First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo In President Akufo-Addo Administration

Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has heaped praises on the First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo for playing a pivotal role in his husband administration.

According to the occupant of the Golden Stool, Rebecca Akufo-Addo’s Foundation has done incredibly well to assuage people especially pregnant women from their afflictions.

Asantehene in his remarks when the First Lady paid a courtesy call on him at Manhyia Palace lauded her unique role thus far ever since she became Ghana’s First Lady.

“Let me use this opportunity to thank you for the unparalleled role you have played in your husband’s administration. You have indeed showcased that you are a mother”.

The Monarch of Asante Kingdom added that, “for the construction of the new mother and baby unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi is highly thoughtful from you. Not only that, I am aware of many others you have done through your Foundation.”

The Foundation, since its inception in 2017, has spearheaded the construction of a new mother and baby unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi, assisted the schools for children with special needs in Akwapim, supported various children from across the country to undergo urgent medical interventions and has also resourced many orphanages in the country.

The First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo is in Kumasi to campaign for his husband to win political power to steer the affairs of Ghana in the next four year.
