Otumfuo Dental Outreach In Asaam Methodist M/A School

145 students of Asaam M/A Primary and Asaam Methodist JHS had their teeth scaled and polished by dentists under the sponsorship of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation (OOTIIF) in collaboration with the Smile For Everyone Foundation.

The team made a stop at the school as part of their operation in the Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti region.

This followed their visit to Bunuso M/A Basic School in the same Assembly on May 17, 2023, where 600 students benefited from their free dental care and service.

On Friday, May 19 in Asaam, the dental team screened 600 students from both the primary and Junior High Schools (JHS).

145 of them had plaques and tartars that required urgent dental attention. They were therefore taken through scaling and polishing to remove the plaques by the team of dentists. 11 others had a tooth or more extracted.

Ahead of scaling and extraction, Mrs Evelyn Boakye, one of the dentists passed the students through dental education.

The students were also given new toothbrushes by the team.
