A/R: ECG Announces Planned Power Outage on July 28 and 30

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance works in parts of the Ashanti Region that will result in temporary power outages on Tuesday, 28th July and Thursday, 30th July 2026.
According to notices issued by ECG on Sunday, 26th July 2026, the exercise forms part of efforts to improve service delivery in the region.
On Tuesday, 28th July 2026, power supply will be interrupted from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Areas to be affected include Nwamase, Apire, Hemang, Ampatia, Darko, Trede, Ampabame, Mpatasie, Bekwame, Pakyi No.1&2, Semanhyiakrom, Sabin Akrofrom, Kotwi, Beposo, Mankranso, Kunsu, Bronikrom, Dokyikrom, Asamang, Oforikrom, Siadieyokurom, Kyekyewere, Bebu, Mpasatia, Complex, Owabi, Bokankye, Odaso, parts of Brofoyedru, Adumasa, Afratia, Asaago, Kronom Cement, Boussie, Asuofua, Heman, Amoaman, Adankwame, Adugyama, Nketiah, Kokote, Abira, Namong, Barekese Headworks, Akyease Booster Station, Offinso, KCG, Ahenkro, Kodie, Apagya, Aduamoah, Denase, Akom, Mowire, Amoako, Boamang, Tetrem and surrounding areas.
On Thursday, 30th July 2026, another outage will occur from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Areas affected on that day are Kronom Cement, Boussie, Asuofua, Heman, Amoaman, Adankwame, Adugyama, Nketiah, Kokote, Abira, Namong, Barekese Headworks, Akyease Booster Station, Offinso, KCG, Ahenkro, Kodie, Apagya, Aduamoah, Denase, Akom, Mowire, Amoako, Boamang, Tetrem and surrounding areas.
ECG said the maintenance is necessary to enhance the reliability of power supply in the affected communities.
The Company has apologized for the inconvenience that will arise out of the exercise and urged residents to take note of the scheduled times.
