Ghana captain Jordan Ayew has promised that the Black Stars will give everything they have when they face England in a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Group L clash on Tuesday.
The experienced forward led Ghana to a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Panama in their opening match, playing 87 minutes before being replaced by Prince Kwabena Adu.
A late goal from Caleb Yirenkyi secured all three points for the Black Stars and put them in a strong position ahead of the showdown with the Three Lions at Gillette Stadium.
With qualification for the knockout stage potentially at stake, Ayew insists Ghana are ready to fight for a positive result against one of the tournament favourites.
“We are going to give our 100 percent, we are going to fight, and we are going to make sure that when we come out of this, we will have no regrets,” Ayew declared confidently.
The 34-year-old has been one of Ghana’s key leaders at the tournament and recently etched his name into the history books by becoming one of only a handful of Ghanaian players to feature at three FIFA World Cups.
England also enter the contest in high spirits after defeating Croatia 4-2 in their opening Group L fixture.
Ayew’s comments reflect the determination within the Black Stars camp as they prepare for one of their biggest tests of the tournament.
Ghana know that another positive result against England would move them a step closer to securing a place in the knockout rounds of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
