Education Ministry Orders GES to Fish Out Student Behind Viral Assault of Colleague

The Ministry of Education has directed the Ghana Education Service (GES) to identify and take action against a student seen assaulting a colleague in a viral video.

Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Clement Apaak, said the video had come to the attention of the Ministry and was immediately forwarded to the Director General of GES for action.

Dr. Apaak assured the public that the Ministry will not tolerate acts of lawlessness and indiscipline in the educational system.

“Indiscipline will be punished,” he stated.

The GES is expected to investigate the incident, fish out the student involved, and apply appropriate sanctions in line with its code of conduct to deter similar behaviour in schools.
