Diana Hamilton Shares Cancer Testimony Behind New Single ‘Nyame Banbofo’

Award-winning gospel musician Diana Hamilton has opened up about a cancer scare that inspired her newly released single “Nyame Banbofo”, saying the song is her personal thanksgiving to God for protection and healing.

The song was released on July 31, 2026, and the singer says it is a heartfelt expression of gratitude to God for His unfailing faithfulness and guidance through every season of life.

In a testimony that inspired the new release, Diana Hamilton recounted the moment she received medical results.

“When I entered the room, my whole body left me,” she said. “The doctor looked at me and said to me, ‘Diana, there is good news. There is no trace of cancer. You are free, you are good. I had a look. We took a sample.’ I went on my knees, and I praised God. I worshipped my God on my knees in the consulting room.”

The Adom hitmaker said the news left her overwhelmed with joy and deepened her resolve to worship.

“When the results came, I said, ‘ Devil, you are a liar. My God was able to turn results around. He is my God, and I will sing to him like never before, and nothing or no one can take away my joy,” she declared.

She explained that “Nyame Banbofo”, meaning “God is my Protector”, was born out of that experience.

“So when I say Gyae me na me nto wo nwom a, I hope you allow me. If you don’t know my pain, you won’t understand my pain,” she added.
