HeKAP to Issue Full Response to Governance Claims After Otumfuo’s Return
Management of the Heal Komfo Anokye Project (HeKAP) says it will issue a detailed statement addressing recent claims on the project’s governance and accountability after consultations with His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
In a statement on Saturday, HeKAP said its attention had been drawn to a publication containing allegations regarding the management of the initiative aimed at transforming Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
“We wish to assure the public, donors, partners, and all stakeholders that HeKAP remains fully committed to its mission of supporting the transformation of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital under the vision and leadership of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II,” the statement said.
HeKAP noted that while “certain claims and characterisations contained in the publication do not accurately reflect the facts,” it would provide a comprehensive and factual response rather than engage in piecemeal commentary.
“Accordingly, a detailed statement addressing the matters raised will be issued following the appropriate consultations after the return of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II,” it added.
The project reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, professionalism, and service and thanked all stakeholders for their continued support in improving healthcare infrastructure for Ghanaians.
