The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has announced a nationwide exercise to collect and verify pension documents of all CAP 30 pensioners and beneficiaries.
In a public notice issued by the CAGD Public Relations Directorate, the department said the exercise is scheduled to run for one month from August 3 to August 28, 2026, excluding weekends and holidays.
According to CAGD, the objective is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Government of Ghana Pension Payroll, enhance the efficient management of the CAP 30 Pension Scheme, and maintain a credible, up-to-date pension database.
All CAP 30 pensioners and beneficiaries have been directed to visit designated centres nearest to them with a Pension Advice and Pension Form 1. Widows and Guardians are additionally required to present Birth Certificates of beneficiary minors under their care.
The verification will take place at the CAGD Pensions Head Office in Kinbu, as well as at Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in Greater Accra. In the remaining 15 regions, the exercise will be conducted at CAGD Regional Offices and MMDA offices. The centres will be open to pensioners from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily.
CAGD further stated that CAP 30 Pensioners and Beneficiaries in the Diaspora are to visit Ghana Missions in their country of residence with copies of the required documents.
The Department urged all CAP 30 pensioners and beneficiaries to take note and act accordingly to ensure the continuous payment of their monthly pensions.
