“I can’t perform without your support.”
Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim assured the traditional authorities that the government is committed to addressing the challenges confronting the Chieftaincy institution.
In his address, the President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, pledged their total commitment to work with the sector minister.
According to the President, the House is deeply encouraged by the Minister’s vision to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to deliver on his mandate as far as the merger of local government and religious affairs ministries is concerned.
In addition, he called for significant review of their monthly allowance paid by the central government.
“Our monthly allowance paid by the government needs to be reviewed,” he stressed.
