GAF Announces An Open Day
The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced an open day for Ghanaians in the Volta Region.
The event is slated a day after the Independence Day Celebration.
It will be held at the 66 Artillery Regiment at the Volta Barracks in Ho from 7 am to 4 pm.
GAF announced this in a statement on February 28, 2023, ahead of the event.
It said on March 7, 2023, the general public will have the rare opportunity of accessing the military installation.
Visitors will be able to inspect military weapons and view military manoeuvres and simulations.
The open day will be held only in the Volta Region, the GAF noted.
According to the Forces, this will enable the public abreast itself of military operations and more.
“GAF wishes to urge all in the Volta Region who desire to have a feel of the operations of GAF to take advantage of this opportunity to boost existing civil-military relations in the country.”
