AsanteheneAt76: Otumfuo Upholds Queens in Great Reverence and We’re Grateful- Ejisuhemaa
The Paramount Queen of Ejisu Traditional Area, Nana Yaa Asantewaa II, has expressed her appreciation for the respect and honour His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II consistently extends to Queens within his realm, affirming her satisfaction and admiration for the Asantehene’s leadership.
The Ejisuhemaa joined Asanteman in celebrating the Monarch and offered prayers for his long life and good health while marking the Asantehene’s 76th birthday on May 6, 2026.
She expressed her earnest wish that His Majesty reach 120 years in service to both Asanteman and Ghana.
“I give thanks to God for the life of the Overlord of the Asante Kingdom, the wise and distinguished leader of our time,” she stated.
“My sincere prayer is for His Majesty to be granted long life, good health, and strength, that he may continue to serve Asanteman and Ghana for many more years.”
Nana Yaa Asantewaa II further noted that Otumfuo’s reign has restored dignity and modernity to the chieftaincy institution.
Born on May 6, 1950, the 16th occupant of the Golden Stool has reigned as the Asantehene since April 1999.
His Majesty’s leadership has been defined by efforts to preserve Asante heritage while promoting development in education, health, and peacebuilding both within Asanteman and Ghana.
