A/R: Police Launch Probe Into Viral Video Alleging Misconduct by Policewoman
The Ashanti North Regional Police Command has commenced investigations into a viral video depicting alleged misconduct involving a policewoman in the Afrancho/Akomadan District.
In a press release issued on 5th July, 2026 and signed by ASP Emmanuel Agbodzi, Staff Officer/Acting PRO, Ashanti North, the Command said it had taken notice of the video, which is said to have been recorded on 3rd July, 2026.
According to the statement, the officer involved has been identified and an investigation is underway to establish the full facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Appropriate action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigations,” the release stated.
The Ashanti North Regional Police Command further assured the public of its commitment to professionalism, discipline, and accountability.
“Further updates shall be provided as the investigation progresses,” ASP Agbodzi added.
The viral video has generated discussions online, with many calling for transparency and accountability in the handling of the matter.
