2023 “Vals On Wheels”; Ghana Post Collaborates With Manhyia Palace

This year, Valentine’s Day celebration by Ghana Post will be observed in partnership with the Manhyia palace, the seat of Asanteman, according to the Managing Director.

Last year on Valentine’s Day, the Managing Director of Ghana Post Company Limited, Bice Osei Kuffour took on the role of a courier to present gifts to some selected prominent Ghanaians.

He visited former President John Agyekum Kufour; former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings; First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo; former Second Lady, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur, Minority Leader of Parliament, Mr Haruna Iddrisu as well as heads of some Ministries and Agencies, with Valentine’s gifts.

Other Couriers of the company picked up and delivered presents to loved ones at a fee of GHC20 on the day of love.

This year, he said the Company is partnering with the Manhyia Palace for the annual programme.

“Also we spoke about our Valentine Programme- a programme we do every Valentine’s Day where we send love to people. This year we will be partnering with Manhyia to also work on that”, he told the media after a call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on January 26, 2023.

He told the King, “we have introduced an innovation we call “Vals On Wheels”. Our couriers carry gifts to loved ones on Valentine’s Day. This year if we are granted the opportunity, we will deliver any gift you have for Lady Julia.”

This is part of the company’s numerous reforms to increase patronage.
