Manhyia Palace Receives Scuttle Box

The Manhyia Palace has received a scuttle box from Ghana Post Company Limited.

The box will be installed at the Palace later, the Managing Director of the Company, Bice Osei Kuffour said.

The scuttle box is a repository with state-of-the-art security features to be fixed on walls of households and establishments and linked to a digital address system for the delivery of parcels.

Scuttle box is part of the innovations of the company to give convenience to customers.

Addressing the media, Mr Osei Kuffour explained “our scuttle puzzle box brings our post office box to your home or doorstep.”

With the scuttle box, customers can forward their letters and gifts to their homes after receiving them in their letter boxes.

He said this when the Management members of the company led by its Managing Director called on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Palace on January 26, 2023.

Although the scuttle box have been presented to the Palace, the Company is yet to install it.

Speaking about other innovative projects of the Company, Mr Osei Kuffour said the Company is advancing in digitalising its services to customers.

“We’ve digitised almost all our post offices. We are moving our services into the app base. Very soon people can access all our services on our Post App. Already we have the Ghana Post GPS which is aiding every Ghanaian in their location as it stands.

“We are also looking at our courier services where our pick and drop would become something that people can have quick access to.

In addition to that, he said it was growing its customer service.

“You can call Ghana Post, you can track and trace, you can follow your item from postage to delivery. We are working together to grow this Ghanaian economy and ensure connectivity that exists among people is accessed.”

Ghana Post will soon launch a digital bank as well.
