Akufo-Addo Appoints New Chief Of Air Staff

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed a new Chief of Air Staff- the highest ranking air force personnel of the Ghana Air Force.

This comes on the back of the retirement of Air Vice Marshal Frank Hanson.

Air Vice Marshal Fredrick Asare Kwasi Bekoe replaces him.

In a press statement dated January 26, the Dirctor of Communication at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, communicated the development.

His appointment which is in accordance with Article 212 of the Constitution took effect on January 26.

It explained the appointment of Air Vice Bekoe “follows the completion of the tour of duty and subsequent retirement from the Ghana Armed Forces of his predecessor Air Vice Marshal Frank Hanson”.
