Ghanaian Tactician Annor Walker Dead

Former head coach of Great Olympics and Berekum Chelsea, Coach Annor Walker, has been confirmed dead.

The news was confirmed by his former club Berekum Chelsea on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

“We are saddened to inform you that our former coach, Mr Annor Walker, has passed away after battling a short illness.”

It extended its heartfelt condolences to his immediate family and the football fraternity.

Reports say he died on October 1 after a short illness at his residence in Accra.

Prior to his death, he served as Vision FC’s technical director.

In a condolence message, Asante Kotoko mourned its former player, calling him a “true servant of the Ghanaian game”.

“Asante Kotoko SC is saddened to hear of the passing of our former player Annor Walker, who joined the Porcupine squad in 1981.”

In a tribute, the Ghana Premier League said he was true servant of Ghana football.

“We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Coach Annor Walker. A true servant of Ghana football, he left his mark with clubs like Accra Great Olympics, Black Galaxies, Nania FC, Kpando Hearts of Lions, and Berekum Chelsea.”

Walker held a CAF License A holder and coached several clubs in Ghana, including Nania FC, Tudu Mighty Jets, Kpando Hearts of Lions, Berekum Chelsea, Accra Great Olympics and Black Galaxies.
