Politicians Have Taken Ghanaians for Granted — NGO Boss Laments

The Chief Executive Officer of Save Ghana Movement, Mr. Robert Andzie Ansah, has expressed concern that Ghana’s development continues to suffer because politicians are taking the public for granted.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Andzie noted that despite infrastructure developments such as roads, schools, and hospitals, the country’s core challenges remain unresolved due to a lack of genuine political will and commitment to national transformation.
“It is worrying that the problems we are trying to solve persist while politicians continue to take the people for granted,” he said.
Mr. Andzie stressed that positive attitudes, responsible citizenship, and patriotism are key to meaningful national progress.
He added that development is not solely about physical infrastructure but about changing lives, which requires a shift in mindset from both leaders and citizens.
He further urged Ghanaians to move beyond political party divisions and work together toward common national goals.
“Until we understand that our problems cannot be solved along party lines, we will continue to struggle,” he emphasized.
Mr. Andzie called for a collective attitudinal change across governance, the media, and the citizenry to ensure sustainable development.
