Mahama Visits Bob Marley Museum in Jamaica to Celebrate Ghana-Jamaica Cultural Bonds

President John Dramani Mahama has visited the iconic Bob Marley Museum in Kingston as part of his State Visit to Jamaica, in a symbolic gesture celebrating the deep historical and cultural ties between Ghana and Jamaica.

The President was accompanied by the Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, and the Honourable Olivia Grange, Jamaica’s Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport.

During the visit to the museum, which was once the home of the reggae legend, the delegation connected virtually with Cedella Marley, CEO of the Bob Marley Group of Companies, and the Honourable Dr Alferita “Rita” Marley.

They shared warm greetings and reflected on the enduring legacy of Bob Marley, whose message of unity, freedom, love, and peace continues to inspire generations across the world.

The visit underscored the shared heritage and unbreakable bonds between Ghana and Jamaica, rooted in history, culture, and a common commitment to strengthening connections among people of African descent globally.

President Mahama’s tour of the museum forms part of activities aimed at deepening bilateral relations and cultural cooperation between Ghana and Jamaica during the State Visit.
