Otumfuo to Begin Working Visit to Canada on June 14

The Occupant of the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will travel to Canada to begin a four-day visit in mid-June.
According to a statement issued by the Manhyia Palace, the Asantehene will travel to Canada on June 14, 2026, purposely to honour the Ghana-Canada World Cup Business Summit.
As part of the visit, Otumfuo will hold a Breakfast Business Meeting, take part in the opening of the Ghana Sports Village, also known as Sankofa Square, engage with the Black Stars, and lead the Ghanaian delegation to support the match between Ghana and Panama at BMO Field.
His Majesty will end his visit to Canada on June 20, 2026.
The Monarch ended his official visit to Poland on May 31, 2026, and is currently in Washington, United States.
An official statement from the Manhyia Palace on June 2, 2026, confirmed that His Majesty arrived in Washington on Monday, June 1, to attend to other important matters.
“His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, departed from Poland on Sunday, May 31 and arrived in Washington on Monday, June 1, to attend to other important matters,” the Palace said.
